The SMDMAX-2kA (8/20μs) Series Power TVS Diode is an industry “go to” device series for aerospace and defense contractors. Aside from being the “go to,” it offers the highest power rating among surface mount Power TVS diodes available in the current market. These TVS diodes are certified Halogen Free and RoHS-Compliant.
This NEWS SERIES PACKAGED IN THE DO-218S offers design engineers the SMDMAX-2kA (8/20μs) Series with a Heatsink Surface Mount option. MDE has given our existing and new customers this mechanical design option for redesign or future design projects.
Typical applications include transient over voltage protection for aerospace and defense including RTCA / DO-160 Airborne Equipment and Shipboard MIL-STD 1399 Section 300B requirements, as well as industrial Transient Voltage Surge Suppressors (TVSSs), Cell Tower Base Stations, and Railway Signal Controls.
